My major is in film, i love to direct one day. Mtsac has definetly one of the amazing film programs commmunity schools have to offer, one of my classes from the progroam is called Video production where we go on set and get to make short clips, learning how it is on an actual set, we learn to direct,edit,lighitning, moving on a set, camerwork, its defintely fun, we even get to act (more like we have to) and in class. In fall last semester we were recreating the movie “dont look up” and one of the sences i was playing asa waitress crashing out and soon enough the waitress and the rest of the people was rioting. I was rlly into my role and i was talking to my other classmates and TAS who were background actors and we were trying to see how can we improved the sence, then one of The TAs. Jacob had a good idea , he told me “rose you should push me as your walking out” Mind you, he was near the fake wall and i wasn’t looking forward to destroy the set. but the other actors agree so i agree (plus Jacob was annoying me with the student pirate accent he was doing)

As the director yells “action” and i said my line, as i yell out “fuck this job! i quit!” and as i walk towards jacobs direction, who was sitting down, i push him towards the wall, where he fell on his back in his chair now we also had sound recording so i couldn’t just push him and laugh, i had to wait til the director say ‘cut’ in order for me to break character so as we did this 4/5 times, i would bite my cheek so hard, trying not to laugh and then release as the director say cut, that day of shooting was probly one of the best laughs i had, getting to curse at one of my classmates and pushing a tas and seeing their reaction, its even on youtube 🙂
